Massive 16" (406mm) Parabolic Primary Mirror
The large BK-7 parabolic mirror gathers approximately 78% more light than a 12-inch telescope, revealing significantly fainter galaxies, nebulae, and star clusters with exceptional detail.
High-reflectivity aluminum coatings (92–95%) maximize light transmission, producing brighter images with improved contrast.
The innovative Flextube design allows the telescope to collapse into a much shorter transport position, making storage and transportation considerably easier than a traditional solid-tube 16" Dobsonian.
The fast focal ratio provides wide-field deep-sky views while still offering excellent magnification for lunar and planetary observing.
The dual-speed 2" Rack & Pinion focuser provides smooth coarse and fine focusing, making it easy to achieve razor-sharp focus at high magnifications.
A rear-mounted cooling fan helps the primary mirror reach ambient temperature more quickly, reducing thermal distortions for sharper images.
The supplied light shroud minimizes stray light and helps protect the optical path from dust and dew while improving image contrast.
The heavy-duty wooden Dobsonian mount with side-bearing brake system provides smooth manual tracking and excellent stability, even with this large optical tube.
The included optical finder makes locating celestial objects quick and accurate, even when targeting faint deep-sky objects.

The STARTRACKER 16" Parabolic Flextube Dobsonian Telescope is a premium large-aperture Newtonian reflector designed for serious visual astronomers who demand exceptional light-gathering capability without sacrificing portability. Featuring an impressive 406mm (16-inch) parabolic primary mirror, this telescope reveals breathtaking views of galaxies, nebulae, globular clusters, planetary nebulae, and intricate lunar and planetary detail.
Unlike conventional solid-tube Dobsonians, the Flextube retractable optical tube significantly reduces the telescope's storage and transport size while maintaining excellent optical alignment. Combined with a precision dual-speed 2" Rack & Pinion focuser, cooling fan, light shroud, and a robust Dobsonian mount with side-bearing brake system, the STARTRACKER 16" offers the perfect combination of performance, convenience, and stability.
Whether you're exploring faint deep-sky objects from dark skies or resolving fine planetary details under excellent seeing conditions, this telescope delivers an unforgettable observing experience.
The impressive 16-inch aperture unlocks extraordinary detail across virtually every class of celestial object.
Under dark skies, the telescope reveals subtle structures in galaxies and nebulae that are difficult or impossible to detect in smaller apertures, making it an exceptional instrument for experienced observers.
The telescope is securely packed in two heavy-duty cartons to provide maximum protection during transport and storage.
Why Choose the STARTRACKER 16" Flextube Dobsonian?
The STARTRACKER 16" Flextube Dobsonian combines exceptional aperture, premium optics, and intelligent engineering into a telescope built for serious visual astronomy. Its 406mm parabolic mirror captures an extraordinary amount of light, revealing fine detail in galaxies, nebulae, globular clusters, and planets that smaller telescopes simply cannot match.
The retractable Flextube design offers a major practical advantage by reducing the telescope's storage and transport size, making ownership of a 16-inch instrument far more manageable. Combined with a dual-speed focuser, integrated cooling fan, light shroud, and stable Dobsonian mount, it delivers outstanding performance, convenience, and value for dedicated observers seeking a premium large-aperture telescope.
