SVBONY 1.25" UV/IR Cut Filter for Astrophotography
The SVBONY 1.25" UV/IR Cut Filter is an essential accessory for astrophotography, designed to block unwanted ultraviolet (UV) and infrared (IR) wavelengths while transmitting the visible spectrum with high efficiency. By eliminating out-of-focus UV and IR light that many telescopes cannot fully correct, the filter produces sharper stars, improved color balance, and higher-contrast images.
Manufactured from true optical-quality glass with advanced multi-layer coatings, the filter offers excellent transmission across the visible spectrum while minimizing reflections and ghosting. It is especially beneficial for use with color astronomy cameras, DSLR cameras, CCD cameras, modified webcams, and telescopes, where uncontrolled IR light can lead to star bloat and reduced image sharpness. The filter also doubles as a protective optical window, safeguarding your camera or eyepiece from dust and scratches.
Featuring standard 1.25" (31.7 mm) filter threads, the SVBONY UV/IR Cut Filter is compatible with most 1.25" eyepieces, cameras, diagonals, and imaging accessories, making it an excellent addition to any astrophotography setup.
The 1.25" version uses M28.5 × 0.6 threads and a 1.85 mm thick optical substrate. It passes more than 94% of the visible spectrum while blocking UV and IR wavelengths that can cause defocused stars and color fringing.
