Finder Telescopes

A finder telescope is a small, low power spotting scope that rides piggy - back on the main telescope's tube. The finder's wide field of view shows a much larger area of the sky, making it easier to locate and centering faint objects in the main telescope once colliminated. Large aperture finder telescope can help you find fainter objects that may be invisible in a smaller finder.

Makes pointing your telescope almost as easy as pointing your fingers in the sky

Aiming the telescope to the right spot in the sky can be pretty challenging. A typical finder scope provides 7X magnification and inverted (upside-down) image.

TRACKING with the RED DOT FINDER is completely different type of finder scope that makes finding objects and star-hopping at ease. You keep both eyes open and see the sky without magnification, without image reversal. Re-Dot finder superimposes a tiny night-vision red dot, focused at the infinity, on the sky. The dot shows exactly where your telescope is pointed, and is centered in a wider field of view.

Red dot is powered by a tiny 3-volt Lithium battery which illuminates a power efficient red light emetting diode (LED).

LIGHT ADJUSTMENT: brightness control allows you to set the intensity of the red dot exactly to your liking - dimmer for dark sky viewing, brighter for city skies, or depending upon the celestial object you prefer to view and aim.
